Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will support patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing and arranging instruments and supplies, and providing intraoperative assistance across a variety of service lines. This assignment is based in Asheville, NC at a hospital setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR/Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment.
• Broad surgical knowledge with experience in service lines including general surgery, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn and trauma.
• Experience using Cerner or comparable electronic documentation systems preferred.
• Willingness to follow facility dress code; scrubs are provided by the facility.
• Ability and willingness to float to other departments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotics and specialty surgical procedures preferred.
• Prior experience in a high-volume hospital OR preferred.
• Additional perioperative certifications preferred but not required.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1100 - 2100.
• Variable schedule with call required.
• May float to other departments.
