Director, West Coast Sales

The Role Cast Iron Media is seeking a Director, West Coast Sales to drive new business media and sponsorship revenue from West Coast advertising agencies and businesses. Reporting to the SVP of West Coast Sales, this position will work with our sales and support team to develop and close media and sponsorship sales focused on local advertising budgets for brands active in sports. Key Responsibilities Utilize your network and hunting skillset to close new media and sponsorship business with West based direct clients and media agencies Oversee the full sales cycle including lead generation, cold calling, client discovery, presentations, custom pitches, proposals, delivery, campaign activation, relationship management, and deal renewals Work closely with the Advertising Operations and Account Management team on account maintenance including campaign management, optimization, and customer service Develop lasting and profitable relationships with new and existing customers to maximize revenue for the company Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role is well-versed in all aspects of local broadcast and / or local OTT media campaigns from beginning to end, specifically for local sports buys in your region: Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of achieving media sales quotas Proven record of prospecting and closing 6 + 7 figure new business deals in local media, sports, and / or OTT space Knowledge of how media, sponsorships, and sales rights work in sports across networks, apps, teams, and leagues Possess a strong network of client and media agency decision makers across key stakeholders with budgets spent from the West region, including clients, local agency teams, digital agency teams, and sponsorship / OOH media teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, with experience presenting and pitching senior media executives Knowledge of how to pitch, sell, deliver, and renew local media and sponsorship activations across local TV, CTV/ OTT and in-arena sponsorships. Sellers must understand local media planning, be able to develop and deliver compelling pitches in email and presentations, and have knowledge of media activation tools for proposal entry, campaign reporting, and 3rd party measurement Expertise breaking new business with independent agencies, regional media agencies, holding companies, and digital shops as well as client direct for local media or sponsorship deals Big plus knowing programmatic and RSN landscape Solutions oriented, new business development mentality and skillset with the ability to uncover customer needs across local media and sponsorship activations Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace tools and Hubspot CRM Why Join Us?
