Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12 Hour Night Shifts: 18:45 - 07:15

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Labor and Delivery. This position requires the ability to provide comprehensive care from antepartum to postpartum stages, including both Labor and Delivery and couplet care responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various procedures and possess strong clinical judgment in both labor and postpartum settings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for labor patients and couplets, demonstrating proficiency in LDRP nursing.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and recovery in PACU.
• Administer IV therapy and medications as required.
• Utilize fetal monitoring techniques and perform assessments in both antepartum and postpartum stages.
• Support breastfeeding and provide discharge education to new parents.
• Participate in call schedule based on census needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Current RN licensure and required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced.
• Experience with Mother/Baby care and ability to circulate in OR for C-sections.
