Job Title: Payroll Specialist (Contract)
Location (city, state): Fully on-site in Shoreline, WA
Compensation: $25-33/hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in office administration and/or payroll
- Strong Excel and software skills
- Someone who is detail-oriented
Job Description:
- Administer semi-monthly payroll processing for a workforce of 1,000+ employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery
- Conduct thorough timecard audits and reviews, identifying and flagging discrepancies before each payroll cycle
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding missing or incomplete payroll information, providing clear and timely communication
- Research, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies, partnering cross-functionally as needed to ensure prompt resolution
- Process employee leave requests and interdepartmental transfers in accordance with company policy
- Manage new employee setup in the payroll system, ensuring accurate data entry and proper classification from day one
