About the Position

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity providing outpatient clinic‑based care with limited inpatient and emergency consultative support. The practice manages an average of 15 patients per day, with approximately two new consults daily. The case mix is roughly two‑thirds oncology and one‑third hematology, serving an adult‑only patient population. Epic EMR is used for documentation, Nuance is utilized for dictation, and all orientation hours are payable. The provider will work within a collaborative team and will not function as the sole physician on site.

Shift Details:

• Clinic schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Primary focus on outpatient clinic visits and infusion management
• Inpatient and ER consultative support as needed; limited rounding (1–2 hours/day)
• Night and weekend call required, including inpatient and phone consults
• Call rotation: approximately 1 week per month with low daily call volume

Coverage Dates / Schedule:

• Full-time ongoing coverage approved through March 31, 2027
• Minimum availability accepted: 3 clinic days per week
• Appointments scheduled well in advance; locums schedules arranged based on approved needs

Requirements

MD specializing in Hematology/Oncology
Board Certified or Board Eligible (dual board certification preferred)
Completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship required
Active Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain (IMLC acceptable)
DEA registration required
Experience with solid tumor oncology and hematologic conditions
Epic EMR experience preferred
Comfortable with outpatient infusion oversight and consultative inpatient support
Clean and up-to-date work history
Standard credentialing timeframe approximately 90–120 days
