Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Skills

Professional Knowledge & Skills:

• Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias

• Provation (preferred)

• Specimen Handling/Labeling (preferred)

Pre-Procedure:

• Starting and maintaining IVs

Post-Procedure:

• Recover conscious sedation

• Recover monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation

• Airway management (preferred)

Equipment (all preferred):

• Balloon Dilators

• Dilators

• Disposable grounding pads

• Electrosurgical units

• ERBE (portable - electrical coagulation instrument)

• Forceps

• Foreign body equipment

• Lithotripters

• Polyp snares

Procedures (all preferred):

• Circulate

• Colonoscopy

• EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)

• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

• ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)

• Esophageal varices and banding

Work Settings:

• Inpatient (preferred)

• Outpatient Endoscopy center (preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Not specified (but "No first-time travelers" indicated)

• Travel Experience Required: Yes

• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred

• Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
