We are seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team. We welcome an experienced BC practitioner or a new BC/BE graduate. You will join our team of one Pediatric Gastroenterologist and two Certified Nurse Practitioners supported by dedicated ancillary staff including dietician and behavioral health professionals. Supportive Adult GI group on-site for ERCPs and motility studies. Dedicated, experienced pediatric GI nursing staff that works well as a team, helps to manage inbox and symptom calls. Opportunities for general pediatric gastroenterology and those with additional fellowship training. Responsibilities encompass outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service, inpatient and outpatient procedures. Excellent work life balance with flexible call schedule - Primarily phone calls on weekday evenings and one weekend per month. Responsibilities Oversees and is accountable for overall quality of care and clinical outcomes of pediatric GI patients. Manages physician/patient relationship, working to assure patient and family satisfaction with care. Participates in system-wide health management initiatives. Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues. Assists in development and implementation of pediatric clinical and service standards. Receives and resolves patient complaints. Participates in recruitment and replacement of other providers.Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature review, in-services, workshops. Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients. Participates in team and multispecialty group meetings. Maintains coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement, including legible documentation. Performs other functions as required. Credentials Full-time position with varied days and nights schedule. MD or DO required. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology. New Mexico medical license required.
