Truck Driver

Construction Equipment TransporterResponsible for transporting several types of construction equipment and materials throughout and between jobsites. Responsibilities include loading and unloading equipment and materials, securing loads, vehicle and equipment maintenance, hauling counterweights for cranes, hauling water, sand, and gravel, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to at all times, communicating equipment and material issues between the office/shop/jobsite, daily inspection of truck, obtaining required permits, maintaining a safe driving record, and handling basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed. Advise Superintendent if trucks need major repairs and maintenance. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, one year certificate from college or technical school and/or one to two years related experience, previous experience with transporting construction equipment and materials, and a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include taking reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety, reading and comprehending simple instructions, writing simple correspondence, effectively presenting information, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Working environment includes being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and extreme heat, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration, and noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Financial wellbeing includes compensation of $24.00-$28.00/hourly, commensurate with experience, competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase, 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care), medical, dental, and vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children, diabetes management, telehealth coverage, prescription drug plan.MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
