Director of Enterprise Applications (Rosemont)

Midera is seeking a strategic and experienced Director, Enterprise Applications & ERP to lead the governance, optimization, and long-term roadmap of our enterprise applications portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, this role will provide enterprise-wide leadership across a diverse ERP landscape while helping shape the future of business systems within a decentralized global operating model.

This position will partner closely with business leaders, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Internal Audit, Legal, Cybersecurity, and external implementation partners to establish governance standards, drive modernization initiatives, and support scalable growth. A key focus of the role will be evaluating and guiding Midera’s long-term ERP strategy, including the phased adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) where appropriate.

Unlike traditional ERP leadership roles, this position provides enterprise oversight and strategic direction rather than direct day-to-day administration of individual operating company ERP systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Midera’s enterprise applications and ERP strategy across a global multi-company environment.
• Build and manage a multi-year ERP roadmap aligned with business objectives, acquisitions, operational maturity, and scalability goals.
• Establish governance standards for ERP lifecycle management, integrations, master data, change management, and business process alignment.
• Improve visibility into enterprise applications, ownership structures, support models, and critical system dependencies across operating companies.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology investments with evolving business needs.
• Provide enterprise oversight across a diverse ERP portfolio including Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, IFS, Epicor, Sage, AS400-based platforms, and other manufacturing-focused systems.
• Partner with operating companies and third-party providers to support ERP performance, upgrades, and long-term platform health.
• Evaluate opportunities for ERP standardization, rationalization, and modernization.
• Support initiatives that improve reporting, operational efficiency, and system scalability.

ERP Modernization & Digital Transformation

• Lead strategic planning and governance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) initiatives.
• Collaborate with implementation partners and business stakeholders to support ERP modernization and business transformation programs.
• Ensure strong change management, governance, and business readiness practices are embedded within transformation efforts.
• Provide guidance on ERP integrations, enterprise architecture, and application strategy decisions.
• Partner with Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, Cybersecurity, and external auditors to support compliance and governance requirements.
• Support SOX compliance initiatives, including IT General Controls (ITGCs), segregation of duties, change management, user access controls, and application-level financial controls.
• Ensure enterprise applications support GDPR and regional data privacy requirements.
• Champion audit readiness, documentation standards, and governance best practices.
• Lead and develop a growing Enterprise Applications organization, including:
• ERP Manager
• ERP Support Analyst(s)
• Business Applications Analyst
• Establish scalable support processes and employee development plans.
• Manage strategic relationships with ERP vendors, managed service providers, implementation partners, and consulting organizations.
• Support key technology initiatives and special projects as assigned by IT leadership.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in ERP, enterprise applications, or business systems leadership roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise applications teams, large-scale ERP programs, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, food processing, or multi-site operating environments.
• Experience supporting multiple ERP platforms within decentralized, multi-entity, or acquisition-driven organizations.
• Strong knowledge of ERP governance, integrations, enterprise architecture, and business process management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
• Experience leading ERP modernization, consolidation, or transformation programs.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and audit requirements.
• Experience working with global organizations and complex manufacturing operations.
