Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator

Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour

The company uses advanced transportation management and tracking systems to provide clients with shipment visibility and dependable operational support. Additional services include ship-owning, chartering, and brokerage solutions.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator to manage and support end-to-end freight forwarding activities. The ideal candidate has at least three years of industry experience, strong operational knowledge, and the ability to coordinate shipments accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight forwarding shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Manage shipment documentation, tracking, scheduling, and operational follow-up.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, agents, and internal departments.
• Prepare and review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor shipment milestones and provide timely status updates.
• Identify and resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate shipment information within company systems.
• Coordinate transportation arrangements to ensure timely cargo movement.
• Support invoicing, cost verification, and shipment file completion.
• Provide responsive and professional customer service throughout the shipping process.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of freight forwarding operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end freight forwarding activities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with transportation management, tracking, or freight forwarding systems preferred.
