About The Upcoming Nurse Aide Training Class
Class Begins: October 5
Lecture Schedule:
Mondays and Tuesdays
9:00 AM–12:00 PM
The six-week lecture portion of the program will run from October 5 through November 10 .
Students will also complete required skills training and clinical experience as part of the Nurse Aide Training Program.
For River Valley participants:
- October 7: Skills Training at River Valley RHC from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
- October 8: Skills Training from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
- November 11: Skills Check-Offs at River Valley RHC from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Completion of the Nurse Aide Training Program will prepare students to take the State Certification Test .
Nursing Assistant Trainee Qualifications:
- Interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant
- CNA certification in Colorado or a compact state or willingness to complete the CNA training program
- CPR certification preferred
- Long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and ready to learn!
Nursing Assistant Trainee Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Support CNAs and the nursing team with resident care
- Follow facility policies and procedures
- Follow all applicable state and federal guidelines
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents
