Lead Adult Groups Pastor (Clinton Campus)

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Lead Adult Groups Minister is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership to mobilize the people of Pinelake Church into Biblical community in a manner consistent with the purpose, vision, core values and major objectives as expressed by the Core Leadership of Pinelake Church. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Learn

Lead

• Take ownership of disciple-making by personally investing in others and helping them move toward a Jesus-Centered Life.
• Walk others through the Discipleship Pathway (Essentials → JCL → Be the Church), helping them discover and take their next step.
• Shepherd people, not just programs, by listening for where God is at work in their story and walking with them toward transformation.
• Equip and release others by developing Servant Leaders and multiplying disciples who Learn from Christ, Live in Christ, and Lead others to Christ.
• Measure success by life change, spiritual formation, and multiplication—not just attendance or activity.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in harmony with the One Church Discipleship Team. 
• Pursue small group leadership contacts weekly for the purposes of shepherding, vision casting, and organizational health.
• Lead the small group leadership culture by developing and leading a team of coaches, and small group leaders.
• Oversee Connections Ministry Associate. 
• Provide oversight and leadership to the Discipleship Pathway (Essentials, JCL, BTC and Membership).
• Recruit potential and new small group leadership for the expansion of groups.
• Strategically pursue couples and individuals for group connection.
• Address church needs through variety of new affinity groups.
• Train leaders to lead their groups and disciple individuals within their groups. 
• In conjunction with the Adult Groups team, help execute groups events including but not limited to: Group Launch, Leader Huddles, Men's and Women's Specific opportunities and Equip Classes.
• Prepares and manages the budget for the Adult Groups ministry within the parameters established by Core Leadershipand under the oversight of the Campus Pastor. 
• Share in Pastoral/Ministerial responsibilities of the Clinton Campus (ie. Pastor/Minister On-Call Rotation, Funeral assistance, Disaster Relief, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate work with servants and group leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree minimum; and four to six years of related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public and church members and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret complex documents, instructions manuals, policies and procedures is essential.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of Windows/MacOS to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must have basic mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting, and budget and expense monitoring. The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.

REASONING ABILITY 

The individual must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries; simultaneous conceptualization and planning of multiple tasks, ability to project outcomes using different implementation strategies and ability to apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations; and solve practical problems. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
