Part-time Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face and voice of the parish. Qualified candidates must be practicing Catholics with strong communication skills and proficiency with computer technology. This position is a job-share role, working three days per week, with regular hours of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and summer hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during June and July. The Receptionist reports to the Parish Office Manager. 

Position Summary

The Receptionist is often the first point of contact for parishioners, visitors, volunteers, and community members. This individual plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented environment while providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the parish office. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to serving others in a faith-filled setting. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist parishioners, visitors, and guests in person and by phone.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member or ministry      leader.
• Schedule and maintain Mass intentions.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support for parish operations.
• Record and distribute staff meeting minutes.
• Assist with parish-wide and ministry mailings.
• Perform photocopying and document preparation.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
• Enter and maintain Time, Talent, and Treasure stewardship information.
• Assist with parish database maintenance and recordkeeping.
• Support parish staff with projects and tasks that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of parish operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the parish. 

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using a multi-line phone system.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team member.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional demeanor.
• A welcoming, customer-service-oriented attitude and a genuine desire to assist others.
