Server Position

Servers interact with guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite, courteous manner to ensure excellent service is the result of every interaction. Servers monitor the guests' dining experience by conducting full and complete food & beverage service.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Possessing in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.
• Presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions for all food and beverage items.
• Informing guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices.
• Soliciting allergy and/or dietary restrictions from each guest.
• Accurately entering all orders into the POS system and following proper cash/payment card procedures.
• Ensuring the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests.
• Accurately completing all end-of-shift financial procedures.
• Portraying a positive and professional attitude and appearance.
• Understanding the policies and procedures of the organization and adhering to the company standards outlined in the company handbook.
• Possessing conversational knowledge of food and beverage items served at the establishment.
• Participating in training sessions, departmental meetings, or pre-shift meetings.
• Ensuring the well-being of all guests and co-workers by following the Company Safety Standards and maintaining compliance with the Department of Health and OSHAA.

Our ideal candidate:

• Has 2+ years previous fine dining experience.
• Has previous experience working in a large fast-paced restaurant setting.
• Demonstrates effective oral & written communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Possesses excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time management ability.
• Actively contributes as a team player by supporting co-workers throughout each workday.
• Has a solid understanding of the job duties assigned to them and outlined in their job description.
• Alerts management of all safety concerns immediately.

Certifications required:

• Certification relating to Alcohol Awareness (TIPS/SIPS for example)
• Food Handling Safety certification

Physical demands and work environment:

• Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
• Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
• Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
