Risk Placement Specialist - Commercial Lines

In this position, you'll partner with sales and service teams to develop strategic renewal approaches, negotiate with carriers, and identify the best coverage solutions for our clients. What You'll Do

• Develop and implement renewal strategies based on client risk profiles, market conditions, and available carrier options
• Engage with insurance carriers to negotiate favorable terms including premiums, deductibles, and coverage enhancements, placing policies with the most suitable carriers
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify insurance carriers and products that meet client needs at competitive prices
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to align placement efforts with business objectives
• Maintain accurate documentation of renewal policies, endorsements, and client information
• Handle administrative tasks related to policy renewals, including updating tracking spreadsheets
• Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and retention through exceptional service and proactive risk management recommendations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, underwriters, and internal and external clients
• Ensure all renewals comply with legal and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry
• Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and new products to provide valuable insights to clients
• Leverage innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, to deliver best-in-class client service

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting risk placement initiatives for new and renewal business
• Valid Property and Casualty License from your state of domicile (required and must be maintained)
• In-depth understanding of commercial lines of coverage
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Customer-focused with high integrity and excellent work ethic
• Professional presence and polished communication for virtual and in-person interactions
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree
• Insurance designations such as CPRU, CPRIA, CISR, CIC, or CPCU
