VP, Full Stack Engineering Lead, Institutional Banking Technology, Group Technology

We partner closely with our business stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable digital solutions that support the bank's growth and transformation agenda.

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Application Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade digital solutions supporting Institutional Banking businesses. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms while collaborating with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams across the Bank.

The role focuses on full stack application development, system integration, API enablement, cloud-native technologies, and modern software engineering practices. Exposure to digital assets, tokenization, blockchain, or emerging financial technologies will be advantageous but is not mandatory.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications, backend services, APIs, and user-facing solutions supporting Institutional Banking business initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of application solutions, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and enhance distributed applications, middleware, APIs, and integration services connecting enterprise platforms, payment systems, transaction banking applications, and external partner ecosystems.
• Build secure, resilient, and high-performing applications using modern software engineering principles and cloud-native architectures.
• Adopt engineering best practices, including secure coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and resiliency controls.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure scalable and compliant solution delivery.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, and mentor junior engineers and development teams.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices to enhance platform capabilities and engineering productivity.
• Support proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives, including digital assets, tokenization, blockchain-enabled solutions, and other next-generation financial technologies where relevant.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience in full stack application development and enterprise system integration.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Rust, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar enterprise technologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using modern backend frameworks and front-end technologies.
• Strong experience in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and application integration patterns.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with cloud-native architectures, containerization technologies, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), application security, performance optimization, and operational support.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Experience within banking, financial services, transaction banking, payments, securities services, or capital markets environments.
• Exposure to blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, tokenization platforms, digital assets, smart contracts, or related financial technology innovations.
• Knowledge of digital payments, custody solutions, digital asset ecosystems, or tokenized financial products.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and modern container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Experience working in a regulated financial institution, fintech organization, or large-scale enterprise technology environment
