There is no obligation to commit to specific days or shifts you work on your terms, only when youre available./li/ulpThis opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking to supplement their income or enjoy flexible work arrangements with minimal commitments./ph2Responsibilities/h2pKey Responsibilities:/pulliResponsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients./liliMust be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols./liliMaintain work area, exam rooms and supplies./liliMaintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times./liliFollows all of facilitys Care and Rehab Services policies and procedures./liliAdhere to employer work practices as described in Cayuse Federal policies./liliEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management./liliKeep regular clinic hours as approved by Manager/Director of Rehab Services./liliAttends meetings as requested./liliServing the in-patient and out-patient needs, a continuing care retirement community, our physical therapists will be required to:/liulliReview patients medical history and referrals or notes from doctors, surgeons, or other healthcare workers/liliDiagnose patients functions and movements by observing them stand or walk and by listening to their concerns/liliDevelop individualized plans of care for patients, outlining the patients goals and the expected outcomes of the plans/liliUse exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients pain, help them increase their mobility, prevent further pain or injury, and facilitate health and wellness/liliEvaluate and record a patients progress, modifying the plan of care and trying new treatments as needed/liliEducate patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process/liliStrong organizational and interpersonal skills./liliKnowledge of CPT ICD-10 coding procedures./liliThorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices./li/ulliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2pQualifications Heres What You Need:/pulliGraduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program/liliThe therapist must have successfully completed the clinical affiliation requirements prescribed by the school, as well as the National Board Examination./liliTwo (2) years of professional physical therapy experience, in the field of geriatrics/liliA valid current license in the District of Columbia/liliThe following documents are required for credentialing the physical therapists:/liulliCurrent License/liliCertification/liliProfessional School attended (to include diplomas)/liliDeclaration of Health/liliRelevant Training or Experience/liliInitial Application for Clinic Privileges/liliDelineation of Privileges/liliStatement of Application/liliPrivacy Act Statement/liliCurriculum Vitae/liliCPR Certification (BLS)/liliContinuing Education Certificates/liliNational Criminal Background Check/liliDrug Screening/liliPPD and Vaccination Record (Influenza, COVID-19)/liliTd/TdaP (up to date)/li/ulliMust be able to pass a background check.
