Job Opportunity – General Medicine Provider – Rhode Island

Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 5 days per week available; flexible half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis

Highlights:

• Conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans
• Interview-based evaluations with physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
• Must have own office space within 50-mile radius to see Veterans
• Flexible scheduling with option for half-day or full-day assignments
• One-time completion bonus available after training and first exam

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Rhode Island medical license
• Board certification required (AANP certification for NPs)
• Specialties accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Medicine background
• Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple)
• Willing to complete DMA training and certification
• Own office space required with ADA-compliant facilities
• Cannot be active military duty, reserves, or actively employed at the VA
