Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting, including routine assessments, monitoring, documentation, and basic nursing procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility policy and nursing standards; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient status.
• Perform accurate vital signs assessment, care planning input, and timely reporting of changes to the supervising RN.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and support mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs.
• Maintain infection prevention practices, patient safety protocols, and accurate charting in the electronic health record; participate in shift handoffs and care team communication.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
• Availability for a 14-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Ability to work night shift (18:00–06:30) and 3x12-hour shifts
• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred
• Ability to perform essential nursing duties in a LTC environment and maintain accurate documentation
