Title Insurance Underwriter

Growing customer centered statewide title insurance agency needs an experienced commercial title underwriter to work in the Greensboro, North Carolina office.This person will be responsible for providing accurate and professional title commitments and policies in a busy office.You will work directly with our clients including attorneys, builders, developers and financial institutions to help facilitate the successful closing of real estate transactions we are insuring. Responsibilities: Examine preliminary and final opinions of title to determine conditions of title and insurability by considering the effect of documents such as deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, estate probates and other matters of record; Review and assess pertinent record documents to determine ownership, legal descriptions, and other matters affecting title to real estate; Identify and assess risks and liabilities that may jeopardize our agency and the underwriters with whom we work; Review surveys and plats prepared for properties we will insure; Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service and customer maintenance skills; Assist with business development objectives developed by management and firm attorneys.
