About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in the legal industry or professional services. The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, overseeing all accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and partner reporting requirements. Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, cash and treasury management, and managing billing and collections processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA, CMA, or equivalent strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior controller or CFO role. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should possess deep technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit/tax cycles, with a strong expertise in GAAP. Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections in a professional services environment is essential. The role also requires hands-on experience with financial and practice management systems, advanced Excel skills, and a proven track record in leading and developing finance teams. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, and a high degree of integrity in handling sensitive financial information. Experience with partner compensation models, capital accounting, and cash distribution processes is preferred, as is the ability to lead finance-related strategic initiatives, including technology implementations and M&A activities.
