Summary Responsible for the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of all activities within the Beverage department. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Respond to and manage escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or employee challenges. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership Establish standards of service within the assigned department(s) and ensure achievement Monitor and control labor within the department while maintaining adequate coverage based on business demands Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings to advise staff of forecasted expectations Ensure proper pars in all bars Enter requisitions (bar orders) properly Ensure complete opening/closing of shift, all outlets and side work are maintained and complete Handle check errors; run nightly reports Interface and handle guest complaints Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and team members Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Five years’ experience working in a casino/bar establishment Two years supervisory experience High school diploma or equivalent Thorough knowledge of liquor and cocktail service Must be at least 21 years of age Good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, POS Terminal Knowledge of MMS and Universal Desktop desirable The primary language spoken is English; ability to read, write, understand and speak English Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards Gaming Alcohol Awareness Food Handler Valid Driver’s License Physical Requirements Frequently required to walk and stand for long periods Use hands to hold tools utilized for position Reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Work Environment The work environment is a casino setting requiring multi-tasking, with computers and standard office equipment available. Noise level is typically moderate to loud. The environment may include guests who smoke and/or consume alcohol.
