Chemist

Eurofins seeks a chemist to perform sample preparation and analytical testing of tobacco products using wet chemistry techniques and laboratory instrumentation. The role involves documentation, procedure interpretation, instrument calibration, and data verification in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and analytical testing of tobacco using wet chemistry and spectrophotometry methods
• Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments including pH meters, spectrophotometers, and KF equipment
• Document analytical results accurately in notebooks and computer systems with high precision
• Review and verify data; interpret analytical procedures and identify process improvements
• Communicate results and findings with client staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related field; or 2+ years directly related industry experience
• 0-2 years experience with wet chemistry techniques and laboratory equipment
• Experience in cGMP and ISO 17025 regulated environments
• Proficiency with KF and pH measurement methods
• Strong written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records
