Immediately hiring Machinists for large manufacturing companies in San Antonio.
Pay is up to $28/hr. based on experience
AM & PM shifts available
Duties:
- Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points
- Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three - and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating devices; tramming heads
- Capable of running and setting up general and special purpose machines
- Hydro pneumatic presses and manual coining/tweaking
- CNC machining and programming
- Experience with small, machined parts
- Knowledge in SPC, TPM, and poke yoke, kaizen, lean manufacturing, jigs and fixtures and gauges design, GD&T
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting
- Adjusting and reprogramming controls
- Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2-3 yrs. of machining experience in a manufacturing shop
- Ability to read blueprints and understand process specifications
- Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
