Job TitleIT System Support SpecialistJob DescriptionThe IT System Support Specialist provides technical support for hardware, software, and network systems across the organization. This role ensures smooth day-to-day IT operations by troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and delivering excellent support to end users.ResponsibilitiesProvide first and second level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheralsInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardwareDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issuesManage user accounts, permissions, and access rights (Active Directory, email systems, etc.)Monitor system performance and respond to alerts or outagesMaintain IT asset inventory and documentation of configurations and proceduresSupport onboarding/offboarding of employees, including equipment setup and account provisioningAssist with data backups, disaster recovery procedures, and security patchingEscalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as neededLog and track support tickets through a help desk system, ensuring timely resolutionProvide basic training and guidance to staff on IT systems and best practicesNothing in the job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)1-3 years experience in IT support, help desk, or system administrationWorking knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)Experience with Active Directory, VPNs, and remote support toolsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and customer service orientationAbility to prioritize and manage multiple support requestsCertifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop AdministratorExperience with ticketing systemsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)Primarily office-based with occasional on-site visits to other locationsMay require after-hours availability for system maintenance or emergency supportAbout the TeamWhy you'll love working here: At TUMI, you'll find a dynamic working environment, joining a community where each team member is empowered with an entrepreneurial spirit.
