About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry) – Texas Start Date: September 2, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (4 weekend shifts per month), no call required Highlights:

• 13-week contract assignment on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
• Manageable patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 with dedicated charge nurse and PCT support
• Work with specialized equipment including video EEG, telemetry, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners
• EMR system: Meditech
• Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff
• No routine invasive procedures; focus on quality patient care and monitoring

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital nursing experience strongly preferred
• Epilepsy care experience preferred
