Regulatory Compliance Manager US Antiboycott

Serves as a product compliance risk officer within Services Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) organization with primary focus on US Antiboycott compliance and responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, engages with the ICRM product and function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply Compliance Risk Management program solutions that meet the US Antiboycott requirements and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain internal strategies, policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with all applicable US Antiboycott requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on US Antiboycott matters, providing real-time advice and guidance to business units, product and function ICRM, and other stakeholders on applicability and compliance. Analyze and scope the impact of new and complex regulatory developments across senior function/business/product, including cross-border impact. Advise ICRM and function/business/product management and personnel on regulatory and compliance issues and provide credible challenge. Participate in industry groups and trade association working groups or other forums. Lead initiatives and manage high-impact special project work streams to deliver solutions, including coordinating implementation of new regulatory requirements. Manage strategy and responses to regulatory examinations, reviews and inquiries, internal and external investigations, and testing and audit. Design and lead compliance and control reviews. Partner with other ICRM teams and global functions, including Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Finance to prevent and detect non-compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance. Additional duties as assigned. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications 10+ years experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role focused on international trade compliance, sanctions, or anti-boycott regulations, preferably within a global financial institution or regulatory body. Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise in US Anti-Boycott Laws preferred. Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills. Self‑starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive. Highly motivated, team oriented, organized with strong attention to detail. Strong presentation skills, able to articulate complex problems and solutions clearly. Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners, navigate a complex organization, influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level. Experience managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, etc. Awareness of regulatory requirements including local and US laws, international and industry standards. Related certifications desirable. Education Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree such as Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) a plus.
