Sr Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage medium and standard-complexity IT and/or capital projects from initiation through successful completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day planning, execution, monitoring, control, reporting, and project closure while following established project lifecycle, governance, and delivery standards. The ideal candidate will have strong project delivery experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong project controls and proactively escalating risks and issues. Required Qualifications 5–10 years of experience managing IT and/or capital projects in a structured, governed environment. Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently . Strong experience with waterfall project delivery . Exposure to hybrid/agile methodologies . Experience with project lifecycles and system upgrade projects . Strong RAID log, scheduling, baseline, dependency, and change-control discipline. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and project reporting experience. Candidate must currently reside in California. Preferred Qualifications Experience delivering projects within the utility industry preferred. Professional Services (PS) delivery experience preferred. Experience with vendor-delivered implementations . Experience with modernization and enterprise-system projects . Experience Requirements 5–10 years of hands-on project delivery experience. Demonstrated success managing several concurrent projects through completion. Certifications PMP (PMI) strongly preferred . Equivalent globally recognized project management certification considered. CAPM or equivalent may be considered for candidates at the lower end of the experience range. Technical Skills PPM and project scheduling tools. RAID and project artifact management. Status and portfolio reporting. Document and repository management. Change-control and project forecasting tools. Key Responsibilities Manage projects end-to-end, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure . Develop and maintain project schedules, baselines, milestones, RAID logs, and dependencies. Prepare project governance materials, including status reports, gate submissions, change requests, and forecast inputs . Manage stakeholders including project owners, delivery teams, vendors, and other project participants. Conduct project-level governance meetings and maintain clear project communication. Provide accurate and timely information for portfolio reporting . Monitor project risks and issues and proactively escalating items when thresholds are reached.
