Bus Driver

Job Goal: To provide safe and efficient transportation of students
Work Year: student attendance days
Work Hours: 4 hour guarantee
Salary: Probationary starting rate $25.00 per hour
Benefits: 10 sick days/1.5 personal days

Performance Responsibilities:
• Maintains assigned schedule
• Transports only authorized students
• Discharges students only at authorized stops
• Maintains discipline when students are on bus
• Obeys all traffic laws
• Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Notifies the proper authority in case of equipment failure
• Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled
• Reports all accidents and complete required reports
• Follows all department procedures and policies outlined in handbook

Qualifications or Requirements/Perks:
To drive must have a valid Illinois Driver's License with CDL endorsement and Illinois school bus permit & pass criminal background check-
