Associate Director, External Quality
AstraZeneca
Associate Director overseeing external quality for radio conjugate manufacturing partners, CDMOs, and suppliers at Fusion Pharmaceuticals (AstraZeneca). Accountable for ensuring compliance with cGMP, regulatory commitments, and company standards across drug substance, drug product, and testing operations supporting clinical and commercial programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute validation workflows for molecular glue screening hits with mechanism characterization
- Evaluate molecular glue candidates in disease-relevant models to identify novel degradation targets
- Collaborate with chemistry and proteomics teams to build and screen E3 ligase-focused libraries
- Develop biochemical and cell-based assays to study E3 ligase biology and target engagement
- Present scientific findings at conferences and publish results
Requirements
- Doctorate in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical biology, or related field with 1-2 years postdoctoral or industry experience
- Master's degree with 4 years relevant scientific experience, or bachelor's with 6 years experience
- Expertise in cell and molecular biology with first-author publications in top-tier journals
- Experience with disease-relevant models and mechanism-of-action studies for induced proximity
- Proficiency in high-throughput screening, assay development, and cell-based assays
- Familiarity with CRISPR, stable cell line generation, and mass spectrometry sample preparation
- Strong data analysis and communication skills in matrixed research environments
