The unit has a total of 26 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. Support staff includes secretaries and patient care technicians. Type of equipment used includes coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Floating policy involves rotation between units. Patient experience requirements are set at 72%. Advanced skills needed include procedures performed on the unit, such as knee and hip replacements, as well as multi-level spine surgeries. The required uniform is navy scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided. This unit may feature new equipment or technology that enhances patient care. The tenure and experience of the staff contribute to a supportive working environment and flexible schedule options.
