Peotone CUSD 207U is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full-Time HVAC Technician at Peotone CUSD 207U.

Salary/Pay:

Starting wage of $30 per hour. Rate is negotiable based on previous relevant experience and skill level as established by the Board of Education.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
HVAC certification or licensure required.
EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants.
3 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) preferred.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to climb ladders and use hand and power tools safely.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Pass a pre-employment medical exam and Federal and State fingerprint/background clearance
