Since 2003, TaskForce Fore Ending Homelessness, Inc. has been the leading agency providing outreach, coordinated entry, assessment, and access to services for people experiencing homelessness in Broward County, Florida. Our efforts and proven success have created a level of trust that has enabled us to successfully help tens of thousands of Broward County residents permanently move out of homelessness. We are committed to creating sustainable solutions and providing the necessary support to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in our community. Role Description Applicants must be currently licensed in Florida as a mental health therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent). Position Overview: We are seeking an empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. This role will provide assessments and therapeutic interventions for individuals who currently or formerly experienced homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for collaboration and a background in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. They should have a desire to work with diverse and underserved populations. Responsibilities: Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand the mental health needs of clients. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans. Individual Therapy: Provide evidence-based individual therapy to address a range of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use. Tailor therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs and experiences of clients who have experienced homelessness. Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress. Collaborate with emergency services and other relevant stakeholders as needed. Collaboration and Referrals: Coordinate with case managers, medical professionals, and other service providers to ensure holistic care for clients. Make appropriate referrals to external resources and specialists when necessary. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical standards and organizational policies. Prepare reports on client progress and outcomes as required. Who We're Seeking: Someone currently licensed in Florida as a mental health therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent). Experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness or trauma. Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
