Warehouse Receiver

Job 165123 - Warehouse Receiver - Phoenix, AZ As a Receiver at Peddler's Son, you are responsible for unloading all incoming freight. You will follow receiving standards and procedures to receive, process, store, rotate, and stock as directed. Responsibilities include: Unload and receive product safely in accordance with PSP policies and procedures. Verify accuracy and count of product on receiving documents. Stage and segregate product in designated areas. Break down product as necessary. Complete necessary documentation of incoming freight. Report discrepancies, damages, and other issues. Maintain cleanliness and productivity goals. Participate in a safety culture, report unsafe acts, and support safety programs. Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas. Safeguard and account for all inventory moving in and out of the warehouse. Collaborate with management to ensure materials availability. Report theft or unsafe acts to the Warehouse Supervisor. Maintain warehouse area in a clean, organized, and orderly fashion. Pay and Benefits Starting pay $16.00 per hour, depending on experience. Medical, vision, and dental insurance available after 60 days. Vacation and sick pay accrued on a pay period basis. Six paid holidays per year. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or GED and 1‑3 months related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong communication and negotiation skills required. Ability to learn constantly to meet changing job requirements. Warehouse receiving experience preferred. Forklift certification required.
