Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Management Trainee to support the effective and efficient operation of daily warehouse activities. This role assists with receiving, warehousing, distribution, logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and customer service support.

The trainee will help supervise warehouse, dispatch, and driver teams to ensure compliance with shipping, parts inspection, delivery standards, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations
• Support warehouse efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals
• Help supervise, organize, direct, and train warehouse employees
• Assist with product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, and inventory management
• Support shipping, receiving, distribution, and logistics processes
• Train and assist warehouse team members with daily operational issues
• Help monitor short-term and long-term performance goals
• Assist with inventory control, space utilization, and warehouse layout planning
• Review workflow, staffing needs, equipment layout, and action plans
• Ensure productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures
• Support quality assurance, floor planning, bin planning, shipping, and customer service activities
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team members to meet fulfillment center demands
• Assist with dispatch and driver team supervision to meet delivery standards

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience preferred
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience is a plus
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train, direct, and motivate team members
• Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, and logistics preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
• Basic computer and data entry skills preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and activity levels

Schedule

Full-time schedule. Overtime may be required based on warehouse and fulfillment needs.
