Network ArchitectPeraton is seeking a Network Architect to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms. We are currently seeing a Network Architect/Engineer to design the next-generation of WAN architecture.QualificationsBasic RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline and minimum of 14 years of system engineering experience is required. Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Five (5) years of additional SE related experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, totaling 19 years of SE experience.Active/current TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is requiredExperience with designing network solutions using TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6/SRv6 (Segment Routing v6)Experience with designing network solutions using Ethernet Technology (10G, 100G)Experience with designing secure network solutions using IPSEC, MACSEC, VPNsProficiency with Cisco IOS and JUNOSProficiency coordinating with vendor on solution technical feasibility, in addition to escalation of network hardware, software and/or other configuration issuesExperience developing technical business case for development activitiesMinimum of DoD8570 IAT Level 2 CertificationPreferred QualificationsAbility to develop test plans and conduct testing of architectures as requiredAbility to perform Tier 3 sustainment as requiredAdvanced vendor certification desirable (Cisco and/or Juniper) such as CCIE or CCNP or equivalentSalary Range Estimate:The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
