Senior Billing Specialist @ Law Firm (2 days in office) (New York City Metropolitan Area)

Coda Search is partnering with a well-established, nationally recognized law firm that continues to grow and expand its operations. The firm is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join its billing team and play a key role in supporting the firm’s daily billing and revenue operations.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with attorneys, partners, and internal departments to ensure invoices are prepared accurately, processed efficiently, and aligned with client billing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with attorneys and partners to prepare, edit, and finalize client invoices in accordance with client-specific billing guidelines.
• Review time entries and expense submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm policies.
• Maintain and update client billing profiles, including rates, billing instructions, and account information within the billing system.
• Monitor unbilled time and accounts receivable balances, assisting with timely billing cycles and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
• Generate and distribute billing reports, client account summaries, and other financial documentation as needed.
• Investigate and resolve billing questions, discrepancies, or adjustments by coordinating with attorneys and internal teams.
• Produce customized billing analyses and reporting to support attorney review and ensure adherence to firm billing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of billing experience , preferably within a law firm or professional services setting .
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders in a professional environment.
