Extended Care Aide - Hourly

JOB OVERVIEW: Job Details: Job Location: 1015 St. Anne School, Seattle - Seattle, WA 98119, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly, Hours on Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri from 3 to 5 pm; Wed from 2 to 5 pm from September through June (180 day school schedule - no school holidays). St. Anne School is looking for part time After School Care Program Aides assisting with the supervision of children in Pre-K through 4th grade (ages 4 - 10). We have 1 - 3 openings. This role involves direct interaction with children, ensuring their safety and well-being during after school hours. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for part-time work during the school year. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring a secure transition between school and the after-care program. Support the Program Director in the planning, setup and cleanup of activities. Promote and maintain positive behavior by reinforcing program rules and expectations fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Address minor behavioral issues according to the program's guidelines, reporting any significant concerns to the Program Director Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols and report any injuries or accidents to the Program Director. Provide homework support and general academic student support QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience working with children is highly desirable Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively and patiently with children, parents and staff. Creative, positive and enthusiastic energy Other Requirements: Must pass a background check and take a training class for working with children in the school setting.
