Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Our facility is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The position requires commitment to providing high-quality care to patients during labor and postpartum. You will be responsible for monitoring laboring patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 during active labor and 1:2 for general laboring patients. Adequate personal protective equipment will be provided for staff. You will be working alongside a team of 12 nurses on the unit. Charting is conducted using Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity Perinatal. Medication dispensing is managed through Pyxis, and IV pumps used are Alaris. The culture on the unit is friendly and family-oriented. Weekend rotations are every other weekend. Time off requests will require manager approval. Staff members will be on call for 2 shifts each month from 7 PM to 7 AM. Additional support includes a charge nurse who may take patient assignments, and phlebotomy services available in-house. This position does not involve midwifery services or a hospitalist available after hours.
