About Our Unit:

Our Orthopedic nursing team provides specialized care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture repairs, trauma-related surgeries, bariatric procedures, and other medical-surgical treatments. Working closely with therapy services, we help patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life.

This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand from 37 to 55 beds in October 2026 while maintaining our current nurse-to-patient ratios. As part of this growth, nurses will gain experience caring for a broader range of post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, colorectal, breast, thyroid, and GU populations.

As Mercy's Innovation Unit, we're leading the implementation of new technologies designed to enhance patient care and improve the caregiver experience, including digital whiteboards, digital door signage, AI-assisted documentation, and virtual nursing support. These innovative tools help streamline workflows, reduce administrative tasks, and allow nurses to spend more time focused on patient care.

Orthopedic Nursing (Inpatient) | Mercy Hospital St Louis

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full-time/ Part-time, Day & Night shift available! New Grad & Experienced RNs/LPNs encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:

➤ Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school;

➤ License: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri

➤ Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association
