Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Manage patient assignments with expected ratios of 1:5–6, which may increase up to 1:8 during high-volume periods and holidays
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as required
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted; if pending, include ETA at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required (AHA preferred); must be active by contract start date
• BLS/BCLS certification required (AHA preferred); must be active by contract start date
• PALS certification required; must be active by contract start date
• TNCC certification required; must be active by contract start date
• NIH certification required; must be active by contract start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Availability to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule; may be scheduled for 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend
• Acknowledgment of high patient ratios (1:5–6, up to 1:8 during peak periods)
• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; no additional requests will be approved after submission. Time off is not available on 10/31 or 12/18–12/28

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
• Triage experience
