PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant This is a 13-week contract position. 5x8.0 shift, starting ASAP. The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will provide high-quality therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety and adheres to all guidelines set forth within the organization. Responsibilities: Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist. Assist the Physical Therapist with therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, and balance exercises. Train patients in locomotion using various assistive devices. Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary during treatments. Document patient progress and response to treatment, as well as educate patients and families. Maintain safety standards and cleanliness in the treatment area by following infection control guidelines. Consult with other healthcare disciplines regarding therapy administered and projected treatment goals. Participate in team conferences and quality improvement initiatives. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience. CPR Certification required. Active and applicable state licensure is required. Previous experience with the agency is highly desired. Why ARMStaffing?
