About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Telemetry and remote monitoring experience required. Feeding tube care and management required. Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, and peripheral line care/management required. PICC line management and starting IVs required. Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) and nasal cannula experience required. Isolation precautions and wound care experience required. Patient ratios experience required - 1:5-6. Description: Expect a 3x12 work schedule with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Travelers may need to float between various facilities. This role involves providing specialized care for stroke and neuro patient populations. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6. Experience in caring for a variety of patients with multiple comorbidities is necessary. Additional interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary staff. All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam. Modules for the position will be required during the orientation period. No open cases are permitted in the background check. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible. A current driver's license will be required to verify address.
