Multi-modality Technologist - Arboretum Emergency Center As a Multi-modality Technologist you will be responsible for performing x-ray and CT examinations in accordance with the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and our department policies and procedures. You will demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic science, radiation protection, quality assurance, and specialized techniques while adhering to all corporate radiation rules. Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Follow established scanning and viewing protocols. Operate CT scanners (any models) and related equipment efficiently and effectively. Complete quality scans in a timely manner, organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands while maintaining OP customer standards. Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute and challenging patients; modify positioning and scanning factors when standard protocols cannot be performed. Use knowledge of disease processes to produce studies that optimally identify related anatomy. Proficient in using the power injector; verbalize limits of use. Scan patients of all ages, tailoring exams to the age/size/weight/special needs of patients. Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech. Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures, demonstrating knowledge of supplies required and ensuring availability. Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
