From preparing and plating meals to ensuring food safety, your work helps fuel recovery and resilience. At Allina, we believe food is more than nourishment—it's a key part of every person's journey to becoming all together better!Assist with the preparation and delivery of meals to all service areas including patients, cafeteria, catering and others. Uses proper cooking, cooling and reheating techniques to ensure food safety. Washes all dishes, trays, cookware, carts and utensils. May also operate a cash register.Principle ResponsibilitiesAssists in preparation and set-up of assigned food for patients and employees.Uses proper cooking, cooling and reheating techniques to ensure food safety.Assists in putting away grocery orders.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be 16 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job descriptionPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED with one year of food service experience0 to 2 years of experience in food service and/or sanitation standards required with high school diploma or GEDPhysical DemandsMedium Work:Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $19.78 to $25.86 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
