Java Developer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Required Rate: DOE
Job Summary: We are seeking a strong Java Developer with hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring, and distributed data processing technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong object-oriented design skills, experience building multi-threaded applications, and the ability to work with large-scale relational databases. This role involves working in a global Agile team to design and develop scalable server-side applications and data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Core Java and Spring framework
- Build and optimize distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark, Hive, and Python
- Develop scalable and high-performance multi-threaded applications
- Apply strong object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and data structures
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize performance for large relational databases
- Create and maintain unit test cases using JUnit
- Develop scripts using Shell, Python, or Perl for automation and data processing
- Participate in Agile development lifecycle including sprint planning, standups, and code reviews
- Collaborate with global teams and communicate technical solutions clearly
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java (server-side development)
- Strong experience with Spring Framework
- Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS and relational data modeling
- Experience querying large relational databases with performance optimization
- Solid understanding of multi-threading and Java concurrency packages
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit
- Scripting experience in Shell, Python, or Perl
- Agile development experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
