Industrial Electrician - Multicraft Technician

Overview Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a motivated and versatile Industrial Electrician Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Canton, GA . In this dynamic and growth-oriented role, you will be responsible for taking ownership of preventive maintenance for a leader in high-quality surface manufacturing and working closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability. Responsibilities Leading and organizing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to reduce downtime. Troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, including 480V equipment, control panels, and drive systems. Assisting with the installation and commissioning of motors, VFDs, sensors, and machine control systems. Diagnosing issues in PLC-controlled machinery and assisting with program interpretation. Fabricating, welding, and assembling mechanical parts and structural components. Performing general facility repairs, including basic HVAC, plumbing, and drywall. Coordinating with engineering and external vendors to source replacement parts and technical support. Qualifications 1–2+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance. Solid knowledge of electrical systems (12V to 480V circuits) and the ability to read electrical schematics. Familiarity with PLC systems and automation equipment troubleshooting. A high school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is preferred). Physical ability to routinely lift 75 pounds and navigate around large manufacturing equipment.
