Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2 years RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required, Telemetry monitoring experience required, Cerner experience required License: State License in Michigan Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 2 years RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience - Telemetry monitoring experience - Cerner experience Description: McLaren Bay has implemented a strict three-strike attendance policy to support the needs of our patient population and ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift, arrives more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift, or fails to fulfill their scheduled shift in its entirety without prior approval will receive an attendance strike. This includes leaving a scheduled shift early without prior authorization. Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics. Perform regular assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and initiate necessary interventions or life-saving measures. Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered. Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions. Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.
