- Front Desk Receptionist On-CallPort Gamble S'Klallam Tribe - Kingston, WA 98346Start Date 09/30/2026End Date 10/14/2026## OverviewSalary Range$19.04 - $24.75 HourlyPosition TypeOn-Call/Variable - Less than 19 hrs/weekEducation LevelHigh School/GED - RequiredTravel PercentageOccasional travel to trainings## DescriptionThe purpose of this position is: to receive visitors and telephone callers at the Tribal Center, determine the nature of their visit/call, and direct them to the appropriate person, telephone extension, or information; and to perform a variety of administrative duties to support office staff.**Duties Include:*** Answer all in-coming phone calls. Forward calls to employees extension. Take messages for executive and administrative staff.* Greet all visitors in a professional and polite manner and direct where appropriate.* Maintain a tidy reception area at all times.* Maintain the van sign out book and keys.* Check for returned kitchen/vehicle keys.* Place recycling bins by road.* Maintain room reservation system on the website.* Maintain file of Kitchen Applications.* Issue Kitchen key to individuals and maintain key sign out sheet.* Print out the Kitchen/Gym schedule for maintenance.* Prepare all outgoing mail by stamping, return receipt requested, certified, UPS or Fed Ex pickup.* Prepare weekly memo for printing and distribution by hand delivery and email.* Maintain reception kitchen area ensuring coffee and hot water are available at all times.* Rout in-coming faxes.* Maintain general supplies for copier, printer, fax and postage machines.* Maintain complete file system for outside applications such as DSHS, Commodities, etc.* Secure Main Tribal Center at end of day by locking doors, turning off lights and emptying coffee/water carafes.* Page staff/visitors and make public announcements through phone system.* Other duties as assigned.**Qualifications:*** **Education/Experience:** High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.)* **Licensing/Certification:** Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License.* **Personal/Computer Skills:** Basic personal computer skills are required, as well as the ability to learn word processing, spread sheet and other software programs.* **Other:** Strong customer service skills, excellent manners, professional image and strong initiative to help.* Ability to work well with other Tribal staff and maintain positive public relations within and outside the community.* Confidentiality is a must.**Physical Requirements:*** Regularly required to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms* Frequently required to walk, sit, stand* Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds* Normal audio and visual acuity**Travel Requirements:*** Local, statewide and out of state travel may be required.Share job details to# About Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe## BenefitsWe have excellent benefits including full Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k with employer contributions, Short-and Long- Term disability for Full-Time employees.Generous leave package includes paid holidays, sick leave, and annual leave for Full-Time and Part-Time employees.## Tribal PreferenceFederal Law recognizes the inherent authority of Indian tribes and tribal organizations to exercise an employment preference for their own members and other Indians. this is often referred to as tribal or Indian preference.Accordingly, preference in all aspects of employment with the tribe will be given in the following;1) First to enrolled members of the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe,2) Second, to Port Gamble S'Klallam Descendants and parents of enrolled Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Member children,3) Third to other Indians enrolled in any federally recognized tribe, and4) Fourth to non-Indian candidates.This preference is for the purpose of furthering the goals of self-determination and employment opportunities for the Tribe and its members.## Required Documents!!**Required:**Direct Deposit: Checking or Savings number and Bank Routing numberValid WA Driver's LicenseSocial Security CardProof of Highest Level of EducationRequired Job relevant certificationsTribal Affiliation: (If Applicable)* Tribal ID or Documentation of Child Enrollement**Preferred:**ResumeCover Letter***All items are required at the time of hire.***
