Sonographer / Ultrasound Imaging Specialist Los Angeles, CA $87,042 - $109,937 a year Full Time Position Overview As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will conduct a range of ultrasound examinations utilizing the latest technology to deliver high‑quality diagnostic images. You will collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining accurate records. Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular and small‑parts imaging. Prioritize patient comfort and safety, ensuring clear and compassionate communication throughout procedures. Work closely with radiologists and other referring physicians to deliver high‑quality diagnostic images. Efficiently operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues. Document imaging procedures accurately and maintain patient records within the electronic health record system. Stay updated on new developments in ultrasound techniques and best practices. Education Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field. Preferred completion of a CAAHEP‑accredited Sonography program. Required Certifications Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred. Skills Needed Expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong adaptability to a fast‑paced environment with a patient‑focused approach.
